I thought we needed some sort of list which was more official than our thread where we talk about everything. So I made a list. I also want to post questions people need to answer as well as polls here. I was thinking that most discussions could happen in the other thread, but the questions could be answered here, as polls could be answered here. If we need to discuss something, post here that we need to change/alter something, but then move the actual discussion for the most part on Quill's thread. That way this thread can be easier for people to post opinions on and to express opinions on, as it will not require trying to weed through the discussion we've been having.
Here are the things I think have been agreed upon. PLEASE tell me if I am incorrect about something, because I do not want to be pushy or make assumptions.
I am using Quill's list from the other thread to organize.
I have numbered the facts I believe we have settled upon, but I may be correct, so point other things out and then I can alter the list.

Southern Continent
1. Is tropical; densely forested, large, tropical plants and scary, scary tropical bugs.
2. Not as established urban centers as in the north. Most people live in smaller community organizations like towns/ tribal areas, or villages. These villages/tribal arrangements/ towns are organized with their own government, however most exist to some extent, under the over arching rule of the Eyrie.
3. These towns all have their own guards. (And these guards usually have and use the nocturnals?)
differences and similarities
I've covered some of these, so I will try not to repeat.
1. Eyrie is much more strict about rules.
a. Only riders of certain colors talk to superior riders. Basically, reds, tawnies, blacks talk to grays or blacks without explicit permission. blacks and grays tend to talk only to reds, tawnies, blacks, and grays, although they are allowed to address anyone.
b. Simourvs tend to only address their riders, and thus conversation between simourvs then riders are filtered through the said riders' simourvs.
2. Rainbows are now hunters and gatherers. Greens are hunters as well as being fighters.
3. villages instead of cities.
4. Eyrie is much bigger and has significantly more influence in the South than in the North.
Leadership in-game
1. One senior phoenix with two or three junior phoenixes. The Senior would be the eldest gray, or perhaps just the most dominant gray, which for our purposes will be the eldest. The grays would rise evenly throughout the year, but they would have smaller clutches. The senior phoenix chooses the senior commander, and it is not a choice dependent upon the black that wins the gray during her flights. The senior phoenix makes this choice, and has the authority to do so, however she is expected by the community to listen to input from the senior wingleaders, etc.
Simourv variations?
1. Colorful blacks!
2. A little bit smaller, and also thinner and more flexible.
3. Rainbows now hunter/ gatherers.
4. Greens are now hunters, but they also fight.
4. Tawnies clutch much less, if not at all.
5. Grays tend to have slightly smaller clutches, since there are more grays producing clutches.
Where did the settlers come from?
1. They were another group of settlers from earth, and the northerners thought they all died. They have not been in contact with the north since.
New Simourv colors
1. Not that I am aware of, although we have talked about altering some of the colors being slightly different.
Nocturnal simourv and their purpose
1. Nocturnal simourvs are smaller, around horse sized.
2. They are much more prevalent in the Southern landscape than simourvs, although they are not common.
3. In nature, they fight very much in packs. When they are bonded, they tend to still fight in packs, both with nocturnal in nature and also with bonded nocturnals. Bonded ones can be a bit more independent than not-bonded ones, but they still tend to group up.
4. They are extremely intelligent, but they do not connect telepathically with humans as well as simourvs. Instead, they broadcast emotions and feelings, but not as much words.
5. They have arm-wings and fly.
6 The guards of towns and villages have them. They are the first defense these areas have against the koxi, and are sometimes they are the only defense.
7. For some reason, I think we've been leaning towards the idea that they mate/chase only when simourvs rise, they spend a lot of time at the Eyrie, which is where they tend to breed. There is definitely some reason they chill at the Eyrie, as do the people who breed them.
8. Unlike simourvs, these can be found in the wild. They tend to bond to people who are around their eggs when they hatch, so you can bond from the wild.
I am not sure about the nocturnals, because Killy and I seem to be the only people really commenting on them. I hope that I am not just assuming that what I say is right, because that's awful, and I'm looking at this list, and I...I dunno.
And other things!
1. Leadership in game is not determined by flights, but rather the oldest phoenix making choices about who has leadership positions.
2. Site leadership is not necessarily to IC rank.
3. One staff account which everyone has access to from which all the information is posted, announcements are posted, and characters are accepted.
EDIT1: Changed rainbows from being hunter/gatherers to just gatherers. Added that greens are hunters who also fight.
EDIT2: Rainbows are back to being hunter/gatherers.
