Name: Da'in (Darin)
Age: 17, Winter
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Rank: Northern Sweeprider. Blue rider.
Location: Eyrie
Personality:
Darin is calm and passive, he abhors unnecessary violence and conflict. He would much rather be watching the birds, or taking a hike in the forest. When around other people he is rarely social, but in some rare times he can have a humorous attitude. Most of the time however, he will listen to the conversation without being a part of it. He has a core set of principles and morals that he will never part with, even if it means death. One of those principles is to stand by your friends in times of danger.
There are few topics that will really get him talking, one of those is smithing. Some say he is smith crazy, though he doesnt craft metals on a daily basis he knows quite a lot about working metals. When he gets excited he tends to talk quite fast, though it is a challenge to get him that excited. To some people he may seem lazy or uncaring, he is quite the opposite, as most of his close friends will know. He hides it, and instead of "wasting energy" trying to console someone, he will find a way to stop the source of the problem.
He might not like fighting, but he prepares for it in anyway he can, and tries to make a space in his routine for a small workout before bed. That coupled with his hikes in the wood, usually keeps him peak physical fitness. He isnt vain though, he rarely tries to change his appearance or do anything to make himself look better. He tends to be very unsocial and prefers to be off by himself, or with Siphran. This makes socializing with others awkward.
In private he is much more outgoing, telling jokes and generally enjoying the company. Its quite hard to anger Darin, but not impossible. It builds up because he tries to keep it in, then just one action can make him pop. Its not violent when he pops, but he tends to beat up inanimate objects, or take out his anger on people nearby with words. He usually regrets it afterwards.
He absolutely loves Siphran. His personality reminds him of somebody he lost long ago, though he never mentions it and if you bring it up he'll either suddenly become interested in something else or change the subject. Out of all the people he knows, Siphran is the closest, the difference about this from a regular bond is that even if they weren't bonded Darin would still be just as close to Siphran.
Even though he is fit his pacifist nature makes him generally a weak fighter, he is not able to hold is own in a fight. He relies on Siphran for defense. When Darin does fight its usually defensive and based off of the fact that Siphran is close by to help. They both know that if Darin got into a fight and there was no one to help, he would be doomed.
Most of the time Darin is happy, and having a good time, even if he doesn't talk. During rare times of happiness he becomes much more outgoing. Talking and socializing, a behavior that Siphran encourages. He might even make a few jokes, but most of the time he prefers to laugh to himself in the background. He has never had an intimate relation ship, his shyness and anti socialism being a huge obstacle. So know one knows if he would actually be interested in a intimate relationship, except Siphran of course.
Appearance:
Tall and lanky, he stands at 6'1" and weighs only 140lbs. Probably one of the least imposing figures you could find of that height. He has no distinguishing features other than a small scar on his left arm, the result of falling off of a tree. His brown eyes are always on watch, taking notes and observing. His face is usually in a smile, even if he tends not to speak much. His black hair is kept short, never passing over his ears and if the sun hits his hair just right, you can make out the small silver streaks that hide there. He has tan skin (think Asian islander) and never gets sunburnt. For daily wear he sports self woven trousers, leather boots, a woolen short sleeve shirt and a woolen jacket. He also has custom made hand and a half sword, but he rarely carries it with him.
Family:
Grendal, Father, 46, Blacksmith
Sazaia, Mother, 42, Housemaid
Pets:
NA
Simourv Name: Siphraph
Simourv Color: Blue, 3333FF
Simourv Age: 3
Personality:
Siphraph is quiet and friendly, yet unlike his rider, he likes to socialize and talk with others. He can be quite playful too. He shares alot of the qualities and principles that Darin has: He abhors unnecessary violence, will always stick by his close friends and so on. He spends most of his time either with Darin or his other close friends, he tries to urge Darin to become more social, stating that the only way to truly know ones self is to know others. Its starting to work, but Darin is still quite antisocial. He likes to talk, but philosophical discussions bore him, he'd rather talk about definitive things, such as the forest and animals. Things you can actually sense. He looks at Darin's obsession with metal working with distaste, saying he should broaden his interests. Darin calls Siphraph Siphran, a nickname that Siphraph doesnt really like, but endures. Overall they have the same interests though, and Darin is slowly becoming more social due to Siph's help, but it might take a while. He enjoys playing jokes on Darin, a pastime that Darin pretends to not like, but privately laughs along with. He is cautious towards new people however, while he is very trusting it takes a while to earn it. Towards strangers he is suspicious and wary, probably because he feels protective of his friends. Like most of his color he is a natural follower, and good at taking orders. He has had thought of becoming intimate, but hasnt chased any females yet, something he is perfectly okay with. By Darin's estimate (bet), Siphran will be in a chase pretty soon.
He can be quite ferocious when either him or his friends are threatened. When he does fight its usually defensive, unless he or his friends are in mortal danger.
Appearance:
Slim yet stout, he stands at 18 feet tall and 46 feet long. Siphraph is light weight and lanky, making flying easy, but flying with a large load hard. He is mostly a regular blue, getting lighter as it gets closer to his stomach. His eyes show a sharp intellect and a secret confidence to finish his task. Most of the time he steps lightly, taking care not to a attract unwarranted attention, though its not hard for one of his stature. He is probably one of the least imposing Simourvs around. He takes pride in his flying prowess, he can move as swift as a ocean breeze, he often brags.
Parentage:
Wild Gray x Wild Black
History:
Darin was born to a middle class family in Sayaie. He had a independent life, his parents usually worked until late. He roamed the streets and quickly established friends and hangouts. Sadly when he was ten his best friend was killed no explanation has been found, they did find his body though, badly mauled in a wheat field to the south of town. After that happened he confined himself indoors, helping his father in the forge and learning how to smith. During his childhood he listened to stories about the koxi and Simourv, his friends played games based off of the stories the warriors brought with them when they came to buy swords. His long hours in the smithy taught him much about swords and build his strength, as forging large amounts of metal commonly does. The most important advantage of working in the smithy was his knowledge of weapons, and their advantages and disadvantages. At fifteen he was lucky enough to join a hunting expedition into the mountains, where he was bonded with Siphraph.
Their meeting was a calm one, Darin had crouched over the hatching egg, watching it with curiosity. When Siphraph hatched he was frightened at first, and hid in a small gap in the cave wall. Darin's patience helped though, as he sat next to the crack for a long time until Siphraph came back out. The first few months were full of excitement and wonder, as they learned more about each other. During those months they developed the closeness that could only come from a rider and Simourv bonding. During the battle against the koxi at the eyrie they fought hard, killing one and wounding another.
