@bre - Ok, thanks I'm a bit drained at the moment after putting up Horatio's profile, but this weekend shall see if I get the muse for a greenrider. I think I might have some ideas already...hmm, will see.

XD But yes, I think L'nan will be happy to meet Horatio (who is a darling by the way)! ;3 She's always all for meeting the people with whom she can discuss anything medical. We can maybe do something sometime, when I manage to get more active round here, yesyes?

I'm jumping on Horatio like--erm, I dunno.

BUT ANYWAY (And I don't scare anyone, Fox, just for the record.) Since Horatio was a healer in Sayaie, he would absolutely most definitely know Ri'ley. In my head, all the healer people work together and stuff. Ri'ley (Ripley) was apprenticed to the master surgeon of Sayaie for--about eight years before he ended up in the Eyrie, so he would have been around. I figure maybe Horatio's uncle and Ri'ley's master have some sort of personal and business relationship. I figure the surgeon side probably works more with injuries, mechanical fixes, while the healers probably did more illness/ other things, with lots of overlap of who could do what when. So like--neither of them worked exclusively on certain things, but there was a lot of overlap having to do with who was free to help.

Ri'ley kind of used to be vile and difficult as a child/ adolescent (he kind of still is) so Horatio might not actually like Ri'ley much. Ri'ley is also super, super cold, has a terrible temper, and a really crappy bedside manner. He is a great surgeon, really talented, but he deals poorly with the people side of doctoring. That could be a point of contention, or not, if you would rather them be friends. I'm up for anything. And Ri'ley's master is very close friends with L'nan's father, who is a surgeon in Itnala, so maybe Horatio's uncle could be in on that relationship? And Ri'ley's father is a bonesetter in Sayaie, but he's an asshole who no one particularly likes, but he can be involved in all of this, too.

Annnnnnnd, finally, I was wondering if you wanted Horatio and Ri'ley to have worked together in any specific way? Like any specific events? I imagine that they have probably worked together in the past, so I don't know what you want to do with that. For as big a jerk Ri'ley can be, he's actually really, really sensitive, so we could try to play around with this idea of Horatio thinking Ri'ley is an ass, and then actually stumbling across a situation where Ri'ley was more vulnerable? Ri'ley takes losing patients really, really, really hard, so he's pretty emotionally unstable after those events. (like he cries; no joke.) And he probably used to be a lot worse, especially at the beginning of is apprenticeship. We can play around with that as well. I don't know; I'm spewing. So I'll stop.

Those are all just really basic ideas. I'm up for any other relationships as well. It's really up to you.

It's awesome that your making non-rider characters, though. Just wanted to point out... because we don't have a whole lot of those and they're kind of like the backbone of stuff. (yesh... I said stuff... because I can't think of the word >.>')
