I just want to clear up any concerns about the lessons, since I know people some people are wondering about them.
The lessons that I and other staff members like Sakoru and Fox post are not absolutely mandatory. We are not going to kick you out of the RPG and punish you for not posting in them. It shouldn't feel like an obligation it should feel like fun. I realize that people also may not be able to post in every single one, because of real life issues and that's fine. Real life always comes first. But if you do have the time and resources to be able to post in one, you really should, because it can only benefit you.
Not a lot of people have been participating in the lessons because they think its okay to ignore them or that they aren't important. But we really encourage you to participate in them. Roleplaying your character in these situations fleshes them out more, and allows us to recognize your character for excellence and to reward you ICly and OOCly for participating in a site event. It lets us get a feel for your characters abilities so we can better tailor your characters future position at the Eyrie to your strengths.
If you do not post in the lessons, you're character is assumed to be there ICly. But there's no real fun in that. For one, you miss out on RP. Two, we miss out on learning more about your character. We can't really reward you unless you give us things to work with. If you don't post your character is not assumed to have missed the content of that lesson. Its just that it takes control of determining your characters own strengths and weaknesses out of your hands. As staff we can only assume what your character did and how well they did it.
We write and post the lessons for you, so if you can help it, we sincerely encourage you to post. I spend a lot of the time on the lessons I write, and am willing to spend more to reply and role play with the people who do reply. I try and make the lessons enjoyable as I'm sure the other staff do for theirs.
But yeah, that came out sort of long winded. XD The point is basically to participate, post, rp, and have fun. Don't deny yourself anything. Especially when you can get some nice rewards out of it. Also, I apologize if I gave any of you the wrong idea, it was not my intention. If you are having problems of difficulties please feel free to post them here or contact any of us.
