Okay, loves, I have a character request. I keep changing my mind about whether or not I want someone to play Ri'ley's sister, but I've decided that I will open the option up, and if someone is interested, that would be nifty, and if someone is not interested, then that will be fine, too.

So, the character in question is Ri'ley's sixteen year old sister, currently named Amaryllis (her name can certainly be altered!). Up until Ri'ley bonded with Dionyph, Amaryllis was the person he loved most in the world. While Ri'ley's parents pampered him and held him to the highest standards of perfection, since she was female, Amaryllis was basically ignored. Their parents treated Amaryllis very much like she would not amount to anything unless she married well, and neglected her emotional and mental needs.

Ri'ley, then Ripley, of course, was extremely loving to the girl. Since she was quite intelligent, he took it upon himself to talk to her as such, and any significant education she received beyond domestic chores probably came from Ri'ley. Because of that, and the fact that he father is a bone-setter, she would have some sort of working knowledge of medicine. Otherwise, her parents set out to make her a doting, perfect wife, so she would have a great deal of skill with sewing, weaving, cooking, etc.

Unfortunately, though, the further he worked through his apprenticeship, the less time Ri'ley had to spend with his sister, so they started to drift apart as they aged. He still loved her unconditionally, but they spent a lot less time together. Two years ago, when she was fourteen, Amaryllis ran away, and Ri'ley has not even been able to hear word of her were-abouts, let alone find her. He has only recently actively stopped looking.

I think it would be interesting if she ran away, joined a hunting party or some sort, and traveled to one of the other two cities. (She was born and raised in Sayaie.) Perhaps she is now doing something moderately unsavory, like working as some sort of entertainer, like a dancer or singer/ maybe whoring herself out in some way. That would distress Ri'ley who is a touch over protective. I also think it would be interesting to have her be rather peeved and Ri'ley who she thinks abandoned her by leaving her alone with their neglectful parents in order to study. He will be upset if she is angry with him.

I can think of two ways for her to end up in the Eyrie. Either she is searched directly, or she actually goes hunting for Ri'ley, hears from his master that he has gone to the Eyrie, and then goes to find him herself. We can work out those details later. I do not have a specific personality in mind, beyond some of the details I have included in this request. Physically, she would have to be tall, although probably not as freakishly tall as Ri'ley, with dimples, preferably. She would also have to have either dark eyes or dark hair, or both, although I can imagine that it would be possible for her to have light eyes and dark hair or light hair and dark eyes.

Cool, I shall. Mind if I give her a pet. I'll probably list her as a candidate, but I want her to live as a singer/dancer. Perhaps make her part of a nomad group, like gypsies though maybe not so much traveling. She might venture into the Eyrie when her group travels by it and she remembers his old master's words about his location. To me, it would be interesting if she went to leave the Eyrie after expressing her anger at Ri'ley and then a searchrider stopped her, alerting of her potential as a candidate. Then confliccct. In the end, she would become a candidate, but with Ri'ley prodding or against it, it would be fun.

No, you can give her whatever you want to! I like the idea of her working as some sort of entertainer. Ri'ley would be REALLY UPSET to know that his sister was actng as an entertainer--like selling her sex appeal. He's a touch over-protective, with no real right to be. I love the idea of her searching him out to be mad at him. He would be absolutely devastated to know she was upset. And then he might get angry back, because he has a temper, and sometimes gets aggressive and defensive when he feels guilty. I like the idea of her trying to leave and then getting searched. We'll have to convince a search rider to help us. K'ean, Fox's redrider, and Ri'ley knew each other previously, so he might be a fun bet. We'll have to beg Fox. OOOORRR, and I would have to ask Bre, absolutely, maybe Dio can search her directly. That might be kind of fun. If you think that is a good idea, I'll PM Bre. I don't know if Winglets can search. I kind of doubt they can.

Ri'ley would definitely push her to become a candidate. (especially since it will get her out of that entertainment job) but I think if he thought she was mad at him, he might try to avoid her. I can see Ri'ley trying to avoid her because he thinks she hates him, and angsting about it. And then, I think, Dio might try to search her out. He's that way.

I think we can have oodles of fun!

Yeah, I was thinking of her as a dancer by day, whore by night. Possibly not sex every night, but think shows to a group of men. Read a book about it. Amaryllis would be a bit defensive, saying that she wasn't doing anything wrong. I doubt winglets could be searchriders, but they might show potential. Anyways, I'm sure we can get someone. But I imagine Dio would influence her decision to stay. I'm imagining Dio trying to get them to act like brother and sister and getting a little frustrated with the two of them. Anything else you would like to see in her other than stated above. I'll probably give her blue eyes/ light brown with black hair. How's that sound?

God, that would be perfect. It would be absolutely crushing to Ri'ley. He pretty much views her as a young girl, since he was old enough to remember her little, because of their age difference.

Yeah, I think you're right about Winglets, and I'm not sure I want him to be a search rider later, so we should probably enlist someone! Dio would definitely try to fix the Ri'ley-Amaryllis relationship. He would think that they were both being silly, and that they should both forgive each other, because they are siblings and are obligated to like each other. Something like that. He would try to apologize for Ri'ley, I think, and generally be really sweet to Amaryllis. It might be kind of cute.

And black hair and light eyes is totally fine. I've always been fond of that combination. I think that's everything I can think of for now!

Enlisting it is. I'll start on it immediately. I would think Dio would think their fight is stupid because he doesn't see him fighting with his siblings like them.

Dio thinks it is Ri'ley's responsibility to protect his siblings, because that is how Dio views his relationship with his siblings. So, he's going to try to fix his bonded's problems, because it's Dionyph's job to ensure Ri'ley behaves!
