Name: Karin (K'in)
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Rank: Candidate
Location: Farm outside Sayaie
Personality:
Karin is rather shy, independent girl whom often distracts her mind from grief by working harder rather than crying or showing the pain to others. She works on the farm a lot even when she doesn’t have to, having become resolved in thinking that it is her duty to her parents to do so. She still feels much pain over the loss of her parents, of having seen it first hand when she was so young, and whenever she does cry, this is often why. She does feel rather alone a lot of the time, though this is usually caused by herself since she could talk to others if she actually wanted to. It is hard to tell anyone else about what she saw, though, and even harder for her to relive it, though it has been getting somewhat easier with each passing day.
Whenever she is not working, she tries to teach herself about fighting since she hopes to one day to be able to help the Simourv riders. She realizes this is a far fetched dream, but she’s been a dreamer ever since she was little, whether she was dreaming of her parents or of the Simourvs themselves. In addition, she feels hatred towards the Xymokoxi for what they did to her parents and almost did to her twice, and wishes to stop their attacks in the future. She doesn’t like feeling defenseless like she was during both close attacks.
Appearance:
She has stright dark, dirt brown hair which runs down to her shoulders. Her skin is naturally a lightly colored, though it has been getting darker with age due to her frequent work on the farm. Due to her farm work and her facticing fighting, she is definitely more muscular than many, though she is far from the most muscular of anyone in the city. The skin on her hands and feet are thicker than most due to the work having made them tougher, and are oftentimes rather dry. Her eyes are green with a bit of silvery blue around the pupil, and she is five foot seven inches tall.

History:
Karin has had a a lot of tragedy in her life, despite being only 15 years of age. She had quite the experience with the Xymokoxi, having been attacked at close range by them twice, developing both fear and hatred for them as many have. Most of her life has been hard, as she had been an orphan from an early age and not had as much of a chance for a childhood. Through all of this, she has grown shy yet independent, able to take charge of herself and get things done but still lacking in people skills.
Life hadn’t always been horrible, though, since at first she had the naivety of all kids, and her parents had done well to hide their fear of the Xymokoxi. During this time, the Simourvs were still protecting the human settlements, but they were decreasing in number and her parents, being farmers, lived under a constant threat of attack. Her parents taught her about farming from a very early age, having her work on small things such as watering and planting seeds while at the same time learning more about it. Her mother would often have her come help cook whenever whenever she could, often turning it into a sort of learning game. She just loved hanging out with her parents at this time, and they never let her stray far from them since they knew how dangerous this place was. They hadn’t expected what was to come, though, and it seemed that they would all grow to be a happy family despite the constant threat of the Xymokoxi which Karin knew about.
One day, during the spring, about four and a half months after her fifth birthday, a Xymokoxi attacked the city, surprising all whom lived there. She started running back towards the city with her parents when the Xymokoxi killed them in front of her, somehow missing herself. She had been completely frightened by such a sight that she didn’t even notice the Simourvs which came down and rescued the city. She remained in shock for weeks after her parents had died, and never really talked with people, though she did work on her farm doing what her parents had previously been asking her to do. Eventually new farmers did take over it, but she was allowed to work there still, and through it learned to follow orders, though outside of this she still didn’t talk much.
This lasted for quite a few years, the Xymokoxi which did attack usually not close enough for her to be caught in any more battles, but during the summer of her nineth year of age, she found herself once again threatened by one. It had been one of the faster ones, attacking swiftly and harshly, and the Simourvs didn’t come nearly as quickly since their numbers had been dwindling. Yet, by yet another miracle, she once again survived the attack despite it coming so close to her, the Simourvs coming just in time to save her. This time, she was able to actually see the Simourvs saving her and was greatly amazed by them, even more amazed when she heard that they protected the city despite their dwindling numbers. She often dreamed of flying with them, of what it’d even be like to be as tall as they were, naively not realizing the extinction they were facing. From this day, instead of becoming even more sad, she became happier since she had something to actually dream about, to look up to, even if this wasn’t a human.
She’s continued to work on the farm since that day, though the attacks by the Xymokoxi had continually been getting worse and the Simourvs more and more scarce. She had heard about the hunting party which had found and stayed with the Simourv eggs, which only made her dream more about how the young Simourvs would look. Finally, just as the most deadly Xymokoxi attack had happened upon her city, they appeared from the sky upon the backs of the young Simourvs, working together to defeat it. Throughout the settlements, they were known as heroes, and she could only envy them a bit, though she didn’t expect a farm-working orphan like herself to actually get the chance to work with one.
