WHAT TO DO - Conduct - All members must be respectful all toward other individuals. Try to have fun, and, at the very least, be nice. Fights should be kept off of the board and out of the chatbox. If you have a problem with some, contact a staff member. If you have a problem with a staff member, contact an administrator. We do not tolerate sexism and other forms of discrimination. Don't double post or spam. We allow one account per person, not one account per character. No hitting. No biting. Be mature.
- Rating - GS is loosely rated PG-13. We allow swearing, necessary violence, and non-explicit sexual situations IC. We expect that our members will be able to handle themes involving different sexualities. We aren't a kiddie flick. We do deal with life and death, but we aren't a porno. We attempt to follow the Proboards TOS in order to avoid any possibility of deletion. We expect our members to help us with our cooperation with our host service. Out of character, we hope that our members can act thoughtfully. Keep your thoughts on swearing to yourself and try to avoid excessive swearing.
- Images - All avatars must not exceed 100 by 100 pixels. All signatures must not exceed 500 by 250 pixels. If you have more than one image in your signature, all of your images will be factor into your total. Lines of text do not count. All images must be appropriate and legal. No nudity. No excessively provocative themes. No copyrighted or stolen pictures. If your image is too large or breaks any rules, a staff member will send you a warning to change it. After one day, they will remove the offending image.
- Characters - Avoid Mary Sues and Gary Stus. Make interesting characters, not perfect ones. See the application board for specific requirements on character applications. When you join, you are allowed to have 2 characters. After reaching 50 posts, you may have 3 characters. After 200 posts, you can have 4 characters. After reaching 500, you can 5 characters. After reaching 900 posts, you can have 6 characters. At any time, you can buy extra character spaces using diasks with staff approval.
- Roleplay - Don't godmod or power-play. Don't know those terms? Ask a staff member. We'll be happy to explain. Your character can be in as many threads as you can handle. We use an organized liquid time system. One OOC month is one IC season. Four OOC months is one IC year. We expect our members to use proper conventions, like capitalization and punctuation, when posting. All IC posts should be at least 190 words. Develop your character. Have them interact. If you fall short a few times, we won't bite you, but everyone needs to try their best to contribute.
- Flights - If you would like your female simourv to fly, please contact a staff member. One or two greens will fly each month. Grays and tawnies will be scheduled to fly so that they can clutch. The winner of the flight will be selected by the female's roleplayer. A male may try to grab the female, but it will be the female roleplayer's choice whether he is successful. The clutches resulting from grays will be controlled by staff, as the roleplayer of a grayrider is promoted to staff as a Phoenix after graduation. The clutches of tawnies will be controlled by the tawny's roleplayer, though staff must approve the number of eggs and colorations within the clutch.
- Punishments - One minor offense results in a warning being sent via PM to the offending user. A second congruent minor offense or a first moderate offense will result in a warning via PM and the user's warning level being increased to 50%. A third congruent minor offense, a second moderate offense, or a first major offense will result in the user being banned for one week. A fourth congruent minor offense, a third moderate offense, or a second major offense will result in the user being banned permanently and deleted from the site. Staff, due to this, are expected, by this rules, to use their powers without abuse. Any abuse of power will result in loss of privileges and be counted immediately as a moderate offense.
