Pohono is very similar to Earth in many respects. Much of the agricultural and domestic animals were brought from Earth. There are potatoes and cows. Life in one of the towns is much the same. However, Pohono definitely does have it's own ecology. Many of the planet's organisms are small, being mostly insectoids, grasses, and small shrubbery. However, there are exceptions to that rule. The most obvious are probably two of the animals species. Simourvs and xymokoxi aren't at all small. While those two rule the animal kingdom, it's the trees that rule the plants. The native nut-type trees of the northern forest grow to amazing heights. Some produce nuts the size of small cars, and they are by no means the largest species of trees in the forests. While no such species have been found in the north, there are rumors of carnivorous trees existing on the other continents.
