Confused

Hey all, I was writing out the background for Mi'red, and having come to the section about the hunting expedition into the mountains, I hit a snag - I'm not sure if it was a hunting/food gathering expedition that accidentally stumbled on the sickly gray, or a dedicated scientific expedition to find wild simourv.

The History section of the Boards is a little vague on that, and when I checked completed profiles, both types turned up on different characters' profiles Also, I couldn't find which city the expedition embarked on their journey from, though I'd bet it was Chydyn. Some clarification please? Thanks much!

I am positive that they weren't actively seeking simourv, they stumbled across the Gray on complete accident. As for which city, I'm not sure.

The Pioneer riders were out on a prolonged hunting expedition. They didn't expect to find a Simourv at all and were in the right place at the right time. Also I believe the expedition did set out from Chydyn originally.

Ok, thanks Hmmm, in that case, I forsee there will be quite a few accepted character profiles which need amending...

What are the references you found that contradict that? It was a hunting expedition, as Zeis and Winged said, and I don't remember any specific issues with that. The only contradictions I know of are the fact that when exactly the gray died has become pretty ambiguous.

Hmm, actually, as I wasn't sure what the expedition was about, I looked through one of the completed character profiles to see what others had written, and it was pitched as a scientific expedition Checking again though, I realise that was the exception XD It did make me infer that Mi'red's original profile also had it as a scientific expedition - I re-wrote almost everything of that section before realising something seemed off. Shall correct it, thanks!
