Name: Alexis (Al’is)
Age: Nineteen, Spring
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Rank: Candidate, previously Musician
Location: Pre-search Sayaie
Personality:
Alexis is a very bubbly girl, and when I say very, I mean it. It is very scarce to see her without a smile plastered on her face and she is usually seen laughing too. She is one of those girls who see the glass as half full rather than half empty, only in her case she sees it as overflowing. It’s very hard to bring her down and most insults she simply shrugs off. Those which do get to her are usually pushed right down to the bottom of her mind and she simply ignores them, letting the anger and hurt bubble and fester until she really explodes. These explosions of anger are very rare, but they do happen once in a while. Because Alexis often keeps her anger hidden inside, when something that she really is not happy about occurs, she simply lets it all out in one hit. She had been known to yell or scream for a solid half hour, just letting all the feelings out. Most of the things she yells are pointless and unrelated to what originally happened but it still lets her vent.
This girl is a very complex one when you look deeper. She has a whole flow of emotions that she keeps locked away. Most of them involve her mother’s death and the shell she sunk into after that. Now, on the outside she seems like one of the happiest people alive, but that is far from true. She does not like to admit the sadness she feels for she thinks it is a weakness. She also believes that she has to stay strong for her younger sister and so instead she just pulls ahead. Alexis mostly hides her emotions because of what her father once told her, that she had to act more proper and happy and not let the sadness show for it was weak. She took this to heart and only lets her emotions show through the songs that she writes.
Alexis is more of a one on one type person and she is not a fan of crowds. Whenever placed in a crowded area she gets very flustered and nervous. She usually just bolts and escapes the place altogether, even if she is needed there. She hates large crowds of people and in truth, is rather scared of them. She tries to keep away from crowded areas as best as she can and tries not to let anyone drag her there.
That’s another thing about Lexi, she is quite weak-willed. She is often pushed around by other people and she does not really know how to stand up for herself. So instead she just gives in to peer pressure and lets her friends get her into all kinds of trouble. She does not always mind this but she hates her father’s disappointment when she gets caught for doing something she shouldn’t be. Still, she does what he told her to do and does not let her sadness show; instead she just carries on, unaffected on the outside.
Appearance:
At a first glance, Alexis is quite a pretty girl, at least, she thinks so herself. But as most say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. She has mainly blonde hair with some brunette undertones washed through it. Her hair is relatively long and full of luscious curls. Lexi usually wears her hair out but occasionally it can be seen up in a very intricate way. Her skin is quite pale and is usually spotless, seeing as she is passed the awkward breakout stage of her life. She is not the tallest person, standing at a little over five feet but she doesn’t really care anyway. Her figure is slender though her fingers are quite long from the countless hours of playing the guitar. Her eyes are a light blue colour though in different lighting they do appear either slightly lighter or darker. Her most striking feature seems to be her natural curls.

History:
Nineteen years ago, in Spring, a baby was born. This child, born in Sayaie, was none other than Alexis. She was not the most well behaved baby and spent almost all of her time crying, much to her parents’ annoyance. Sara and Harley did what they could and tried to get her to sleep as much as possible but for some reason Lexi just loved to cry. Her parents were both musicians and often spent hours simply singing and playing their instruments together. From the time Alexis was five, she had already started to learn to play the guitar – using a smaller sized one of course – and had commenced singing lessons. Her parents hoped that their little girl would also be a musician much like them.
When Alexis was only three years old she found herself with a younger sister, Lorien. The pair got on quite well together and that made their parents very happy. Alexis loved to play music for her sister and watch the baby’s reaction to each of the different pieces that she played. She often felt that it was her responsibility to take care of her younger sister and she did so with pride. She loved her younger sister and wanted to help her out as much as possible. She vowed to Lorien that she would protect her from the evil koxi, no matter what. Of course, at this point, it was only the simourvs that could help them and they seemed to be disappearing.
Life carried on for the small family and they did as best as they could. Lorien learnt to play guitar and the four often performed in the markets for the other people of Sayaie. Money was tough for a family of musicians so Lexi took it upon herself to help out the family. She often went and worked as a scribe for an old man who could no longer write. From that she earned just a little bit of money that she hoped was good enough to help her family.
One day, however, Lorien was sick and Harley stayed home with her. So Sara and Alexis left for the markets as per usual. That one particular day however it was very crowded and Lexi was only young. She held her mother’s hand and tried to keep close but their fingers slipped away. Lexi was small and she was pulled one way by the crowd. Frantically, she searched for her mother but she could not see above the crowds to find her. The child called out but no response came. Eventually she just gave up and went home, hoping that her mother would be there waiting. She wasn’t. Alexis told her father everything and he said that she would come home, and not to worry.
Sara never came home.
If Harley knew anything about why Sara had not come home, he kept it hidden from the children well. They did not understand what had happened or where their mother had gone. Alexis was so upset by this that she hid away, crying heavily at the loss. After a few days of this, her father came in angrily and told her to get up. He told her that she was now the woman of the household and she had to act properly. Harley told her that she had to stop crying and stop showing weakness. Lexi was told that she had to be happy for the family and that crying was simply a sign of weakness that she could not hold. So, lifting her head high, Alexis tried her best to hide the pain that she feels.
After those events, Alexis hid away from crowds as much as she could and she hates them more than anything. She knew that she could not show her true feelings for fear of her father so instead she took to writing songs about the way she felt. She often performed them out when it was not so crowded and when her father asked where she got the inspiration she simply told him that it was how one of her friends was feeling. She avoided his gaze often and spent time with her sister instead, teaching Lorien how to compose and sing.
When Alexis was only sixteen years old, she heard of the riders. Word had come from a new settlement, the Eyrie, and they told of people who rode the simourvs. She was so amazed by it all and wondered how they had managed it. They were heroes in Pohono and everyone spoke of them so highly. Lexi often wondered what it would be like to be a rider but knew that it would never happen. So instead she simply stuck to her music, keeping the thoughts of riders and simourv to her secret mind.
Desired Color: Anything
Undesired Color: Red
Reasoning: Well, I know that she most likely won’t bond with a red anyway and I already have one and don’t feel like another. Alexis would probably suite a rainbow or tawny most but I don’t really mind what she bonds with, and neither does she. As long as they are cheerful and bubbly like she seems to be then it's fine.
Injury/Mauling: Nothing too major. Some scratches are okay but preferably no broken bones or anything. She isn’t used to pain so some mauling may whip her into shape.
