Brownie points are a temporary site currency that will be made and used over the next six months. In the future, you will be able to buy clues to the fifth hatching among other things. Right now, you have until the end of February to earn some.


There are four ways you can gain brownie points:

• You can adopt a character. This earns you one brownie point. All adoptions until the end of February count towards this. The staff is also willing to help pay for needed character slots. If you have a strong desire for an adoptable character, we are encouraging you to adopt them. You will be expected to play that character the same as all your others and stay dedicated to the site, but we would like everyone to know that we understand that schedules fluctuate and interests in characters shift. The point is to have fun and stick to the community as a whole. If you think playing one of the adoptables would be fun, we would very much like it if you took them. On a more threatening note, for every adoptable the staff gets around to killing, one hatching clue on the list we have will be crossed off and no one besides the staff with have any information regarding that clue before the hatching. Also, we like killing things. So watch out.
  
• You can recruit a member. This is probably the best way to earn brownie points. For every person who joins, comes into this thread, and says you recruited them after today, you will earn one brownie point. If they make a character and post with that character, you earn another two brownie points. If they also adopt a character, you earn a brownie point, same as they do. If they recruit another member, you earn one brownie point while they get all of theirs. You can wrack up a lot of points very quickly this way.
  
• You can buy brownie points. You have all been complaining that there isn't anything to spend your diasks on. Well, here you go. It is 500 diasks for one brownie point, 1,200 diasks for a pack of three brownie points, and 1,700 diasks for a pack of five brownie points. If you have no other way to earn brownie points, advertise, earn diasks through that, and buy them in this thread. Yes, if you are curious, there are other prizes than hatching clues. We believe there will be plenty of things to interest everyone and you only have two months to earn all the points you will ever have.
  
• You can do good. Yes, it's as simple as that. Every brownie point that members of the staff earn by adopting, recruiting, or buying goes into our magical leprechaun pot. When we see someone make an inspiring post, show exemplary kindness towards other members or guests, or otherwise be awesome, they will get one of our brownie points. We'll be watching!
