I don't approve of this.
You don't approve of anything.
What if we have lessons tomorrow?
We don't.
I'll never understand you.
Good thing you aren't coming, then.
You must always be vigilant.
Damn it, Kas... sometimes a girl just needs a drink. E'an grumbled inwardly, thoroughly annoyed at having this conversation invasion in her mind when all she wanted to do was just take the night off. Call it daddy problems, sometimes the bluerider just liked to go off and do something stupid. This moment in time, she was spiriting away a bottle of whiskey to go have a nice little lonely drinking party under the stars. She had already picked the perfect place: the gardens at the farthest point of the canyon all tucked away where few people liked to frequent. In her times spent doing chores there, she had found a rather lovely flower garden that she wouldn't mind spending more time in. Tucked in those bushes, looking up at the stars on the clear summer night... that sounded glorious. And why not bring along some throat lubrication for the experience?
Exhaling her dignity, the winglet set off in just a tank and a pair of light pants with no shoes to speak of, leaving behind the grumpy Kaslimeph to brood on his couch. His disappointment was evident, but she didn't care. Hell, she hadn't had a drink in far too long! And she didn't even want to think about the last time she made love... So she walked. One foot in front of the other, as if each step was to spite the one before it, a bottle in one fist, she strode with purpose toward her final destination as if it were a battle itself she was headed for. Maybe she was. She liked not knowing. On tonight of all nights, she decided that she wanted to break routine. If someone followed her, that would be just as well... maybe they'd be up for a drink and a philosophical conversation.
Sooner than she had expected, she arrived at the garden and behind some flower bushes she made her bed in the dirt, and opened her prize with a tad bit of a struggle on her part. As she waited for the brew to breathe, her eyes wandered up at the speckled, twinkling sky. It was beautiful and serene... two things that E'an wouldn't choose to describe her own mood. But the contrast in that moment brought peace to her fast-beating heart and slowed her respiration. It really was lovely... wasn't it? At that thought she took a long pull from her bottle, letting the liquid spill down her throat and warm her from the inside out. Already Kaslimeph's ever-bearing presence lessened to a noticeable degree... or maybe that was just a trick of the mind? Either way, E'an didn't mind. She let her hand lower the glass neck from her lips and she then turned her attention to the flowers in the area. This was nice. Too bad she didn't have any company. For a moment the blue's presence came back.
I don't like it when you're gone... was all she could catch before he faded away again, presumable in sleep. Before she could ponder the statement much more, she heard footsteps a little ways away that made her slightly more alert than she probably should have been. It wasn't like she was doing anything wrong, right?
