A river.
There was a double apartment building with 100 floors. A woman living on the 100th floor was good friends with a man also living on the 100th floor, Mr. Barker. The woman noticed that Mr. Barker hadn't come out of his room for about a week, so the woman called the police to see why. When the police came to Mr. Barker’s room, he wouldn't answer the door; the police had no choice but to knock the door down. When they entered, in the room was nothing but a broken pencil on the floor, a dead man sitting in a chair with a bullet in his forehead, and a locked door. The man in the chair was Mr. Barker. How did Mr. Baker get shot if the door was locked from the inside and no one was in the room? *HINT* Think about the pencil.

Mr. Barker was shot by someone in the next building. Pencil was holding the window open and when the bullet came zipping in it snapped the pencil.
First think of the person who lives in disguise. Who deals in secrets and tells naught but lies. Next tell me what's always the last thing to mend; the middle of middle and end of end? And finally give me the sound often heard during the search for a hard to find word. Now string them together and answer me this: which creature would you be unwilling to kiss?

A coffin
After being in a coma for two weeks, Granny Smith died on May 20 1991. Candy Care was trying to comfort Granny's grandson, Smitty. "Listen Smitty" said Candy, "this couldn't have come as a great shock." "No it wasn't," said Smitty, "the big upset is Granny's will. My cousin, Sid Shad, says that according to her latest will, he is going to inherit the entire state. Granny made a will four years ago and showed me at that time. It said that upon her death, i was to inherit 90% of the estate and Sid was to get the rest." Candy examined a photocopy of the new will Shady produced. It was dated May 10th 1991, and was signed by Granny and two witnesses. "This is a fake!" she exclaimed. Why?

Granny was in a coma when the will was supposedly signed.
There is a word in the English language in which the first two letters signify a male, the first three letters signify a female, the first four signify a great man and the whole word a great woman. What is the word?

Oh! I know this one! Its a hole!
Do not begrudge this, For it is the fate of every man. Yet it is feared, And shunned in many lands. Causes problems, and sometimes gaps, Can hobble the strongest, and make memory lapse. What is this danger we all face For being a part of the human race?

Old age.
A man wanted to enter an exclusive club but did not know the password that was required. He waited by the door and listened. A club member knocked on the door and the doorman said "twelve." The member replied "six " and was let in. A second member came to the door and the doorman said "six." The member replied "three" and was let in. The man thought he had heard enough and walked up to the door. The doorman said "ten" and the man replied "five." but he was not let in. What should have he said?

Sunlight.
I have one, you have one. If you remove the first letter, a bit remains. If you remove the second, bit still remains. After much trying, you might be able to remove the third one also, but it remains. What am I?

The vowels a, e, i, o, u.
It can be said: To be gold is to be good; To be stone is to be nothing; To be glass is to be fragile; To be cold is to be cruel. Unmetaphored, what am I?
